Spicy Cevapcici Meatballs

This is a simple and delicious dish, perfect for a quick midweek meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 tray Jane’s Cevapcici
  • 1 jar passata
  • Olive oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
  • 1 handful of fresh basil
  • Parmesan to serve

Method

  1. Sauté the onion and garlic with the olive oil in a medium sized heavy bottom saucepan
  2. Break apart each cevapcici and roll into balls. Making up to 6 small meatballs per cevapcici
  3. Drop the meatballs into the pan with the onion, browning them, allowing for their spices to become fragrant
  4. Cover with passata and stir through the basil leaves
  5. Leave simmering for around 30 mins
  6. Serve with your preferred pasta, topped with parmesan.

Pan Fried Sausages with Spinach and Chickpeas

Try this with Jane’s English Pork or for more punch, the Takatala.

Ingredients

  • 1 tray of Jane’s Succulent Sausages
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
  • Olive oil
  • 1 packet of frozen spinach (thawed) OR 200g fresh spinach leaves
  • 1 x 400g tin tomatoes
  • 1 x 400g tin of chickpeas

Method

  1. Fry the onion and garlic in olive oil, in a large frying pan
  2. Roughly chop the sausages and add to the pan, cook until brown
  3. Add tomatoes, spinach and chickpeas, season with salt and pepper, and simmer for 10-15 mins
  4. Serve with crusty bread, cous cous or rice

Sausage and Bean Casserole

This hearty dish is full of flavour and perfect for a winter meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 tray of Jane’s Honey and Rosemary Sausages
  • Olive Oil
  • 1 x 400g tin of bean – use cannelloni, kidney, or mixed.
  • 1 x 400g tin tomatoes
  • 1-2 glasses of red wine
  • 1-2 sprigs of fresh rosemary
  • 1 onion
  • 1 garlic clove

Method

  1. Using a heavy bottomed pot, sauté the onion, garlic and rosemary in olive oil
  2. Add the sausages and turn regularly, allowing them to brown on all sides
  3. Add the wine and allow the alcohol to cook off for 2 mins
  4. Add the beans and tomatoes, stir and cover. Cook for 20 mins stirring intermittently
  5. Uncover and cook for a further 10 mins or until the liquid has reduced
  6. Serve with creamy mashed potatoes or crusty bread.
